5 SMART WAYS TO ELEVATE YOUR SPACE
Here at Magnolia Studio & Co, we whole heartedly believe in being your best self and living your best life. One of the ways to do this is hitting refresh in your living space. There are two sides to a clean space. One is removing actual dirt from your space and the other is organizing and decluttering to allows space for a sound mind and growth.
Here are 5 quick ways you can refresh your space this week.
1. Declutter / Minimize & Organize
Decluttering and cleaning your space usually go hand-in-hand. It creates space that allows you to be more creative and productive. Minimize and organize the products you use by adding multi-use or multi-functional products to your your everyday items like skincare and in your work place / school.
2. Refresh
Refreshing your space can be as subtle as changing your pillow covers to match your mood or season or re-painting and moving furniture to create a whole new ambience. The new view will help inspire and cultivate new ideas and new beginnings for that thing on the bottom of your to-do list.
3. Repurpose / Reuse - Decor
Wabi-Sabi is a traditional Japanese aesthetic way of life. It is the acceptance and use of things that are imperfect. Finding beauty in imperfection in the things around us. Not all space refreshers require you to throw out everything and start new. Sometimes the beauty of creating a new space is learning to give new life to current / existing decor or items you no longer use or even finding a new use for those items.
4. Add Greenery
Did you know the color green can symbolize harmony, tranquility and peace. Shades of green can be soothing, relaxing and enhance stability and endurance. It is often associated with renewal and promotes optimism, hopefulness and balance. Plants are the perfect way to bring in this kind of break in your space. Real plants (if you have a green thumb) are helpful in improving your mood, reducing stress and anxiety and boosting healing and pain tolerance.
If you aren't a gardener, a faux plant can help fulfill some of those benefits as well. Just give it a dust with a damp cloth once in a while.
5. Channel a Hygge-inspired Space.
Wether its work or living, your space should be the place where you feel the happiest, most comfortable and the most motivated. Don't feel pressured into following trends or "guidelines" that aren't suitable to your lifestyle.
Most of all, don't forget to enjoy the process!
